Re: anyone for jillians 30 day shred challenge
I've been doing 30 Day Shred for a week now and it has worked muscles I didn't know existed. Beware, a beginner may not be able to do it every single day for a month. I was working out using a rowing machine, treadmill and lifting weights and this kicked my butt. I mean, legs hurts so bad I nearly had to fall onto the toilet to pee. It ain't easy!! But just a week later, I see results....and I'll take 'em!!

Re: anyone for jillians 30 day shred challenge
I am up for this. Everlosing is right though it is tough! I did try to do this actually already this month but got a bit waylaid with life happening. I got about 12 days in. Would be great to re-do it right with some company.
Are we going to take pictures and measure?
If doing a proper challenge might be ok to ok in the the mods, and also to have a number of 'pass' days for when we are sick or just fit it in - like the 6WEC has. Just an idea though - is up to you guys

Re: anyone for jillians 30 day shred challenge
Just chiming in with a thought. My goal was to do this every single day for 30 days....until I started. I can tell you now I'm at every other day. I could NOT do it the day after the first day because my muscles were on fire. I could barely walk and would have been screwed if I had had to work that day...my job requires several miles of walking daily. As someone who has been on a rowing machine, treadmill and lifting weights for quite some time, let me tell you, I KNOW the importance of recovery time for your muscles. The real growth and strengthening of your muscles don't occur during the workout. It's in the days following your workout, as your muscles recover. Listen to your body. Make the challenge reasonable for beginners as well as the more experienced. We don't want anyone suffering undue injuries caused by trying to meet the requirements of the challenge. I listen to my body when trying something new. If I pay attention to my body, I don't suffer injuries.
Jillian aint no cupcake and this workout isn't easy by any means!! Anytime your trainer yells, "I want you to feel like you're going to DIE," um, they mean it!!

Re: anyone for jillians 30 day shred challenge
Hi everyone,
Just wondering if there were any further plans on this?
My and husb have challenged ourselves to do the Shred 30 times by the end of February - so roughly every other day (with running and KB, etc - and rests - on other days). We are going to do each level 10 times. So far = level 1 2/10
I'd be happy to lead a challenge thread on this if anyone still interested and if miliem doesn't mind
I think a looser structure might be better because it is quite demanding.

I would love a challenge like this. I did trouble zones yesterday and boy my glutes hurt again. Darn lunges
Maybe PM miliem?

Alexa!! I'm thinking go ahead and head up the challenge. I went to miliem's profile and her last activity on the board was December 19, 2009. I'm interested and others are interested if you want to decide what kind of structure this challenge would have. Maybe it needs to be a 60 day challenge?? Up to you!Originally posted by Alexa View PostHi everyone,

I'm ready! I've been inundated with Holiday things, but we're back on track now. Let's do this. I have a trip in a couple of months and I'm ready to LOSE & TONE! Head up the challenge =D

Re: anyone for jillians 30 day shred challenge
Okay I did it tonight! It kicked every single continent on my buttocks. I loved it. I'm only on Level One, but it is great. I thought it may be too easy for me, but it was just right and a different kind of pump. Also, I must note it's been a long time since I've been practically starving after a workout. I don't have any weights so I relied on my own body weight during those portions of the video.
Anyway, who else is on board?

Great, thanks for the feedback on this everyone!
I will start the challenge but in a separate thread. I think the idea of 60 days is a good one because it allows some flexibility.
