I know this is old, but I just heard on TV that more studies are coming out to say that tap is better than bottled, because they are taking all the minerals out of bottled water trying to purifying it.

Not to throw off the poll, but I drink filtered tap water. I really like it! Bottled water is probably from someone's tap in the Rocky Mountains. *lol*

Hmmm, well I am not above tap water thats for sure. I would drink mine if possible. But, we live in the country and have well water. It has a smell of sulfur so there is no way I could make myself drink it. So, I buy water by the gallon.

I've been told that the US and the Philippineas are the only two countries where people normally drink tap water (I could be wrong though). However, the deteriorating water system over here has caused people to switch to various forms of bottled water (mineral, distilled, purified). Tap water these days is heavily chlorinated and tastes like drinking out of a swimming pool.

It depends where I am, if I am at home I drink bottled and if I am at work I drink tap.

I only drink tap water if possible, but at my old flat the water tasted faintly of mud, it was the strangest thing so I used to drink bottled then.

I drink filtered tap water. The municipal water supply tastes weird--too much chlorine and who knows what else. So I use a pitcher or fawcett filter for my tap water. It's less expensive for me (in the long run) and I can use the filtered water for cooking.

My Boston water actually tastes fine. although I can sure taste the difference when my filter is on ( but it's broken so I drink straight tap). As a scientist I feel that if the EPA/board of Health says it's safe then it's safe. besides there are more chemicals just randomly floating around in the air for you to comsume than there is in the water. I get the whole "It smells or it tastes funny" but it should be pretty safe ( if you have tap water)

LOL, boy talk about evenly divided. My concern is that bottled water has everything good for you about water removed. No minerals etc.

Here in the UK you can also drink tap water if you want to but the stuff you get in London tastes foul to me...

I drink filtered tap water at home, buy bottled when am working at my local supermarket at the weekends and drink purified water at the office (we get it filtered).

As long as I'm flushing my system out I really don't care... water where I am in Scotland tastes ok out of the tap at home so I filter it and then chill it.

I like either one. I'll buy the bottled water just for the bottle (I get the 1.5 liter size). The I keep refilling it with tap water.

If I could afford it (and had room) I would stay with bottled cause I think it tastes cleaner. I like tap water if it's cold
