I just had my next checkup with my regular doctor and my wife's alarmed and wants me off Atkins immediately even though I've reached my target of 175-177 and have never felt better!
Here's my #s. Any help you can give me?
211 cholesterol (should be < 200)
Ldl 133 (should be <100)
Liver levels high 2.1 billy albumen 2.3 globulin 2.1 (little low)
Consider low chol. diet
Consider upper abdominal sonogram (ultrasound) for the liver.
Here's my typical diet:
Breakfast:
1 c instant oatmeal with 2 packets splenda
Lunch:
2 sandwiches on wheat or rye bread with 1 pc. lunch meat, 1 pc cheese and mayo each
fruit like grapes, bananas, or apple
Dinner:
meat
frozen vegie
I try to get 96 oz. of water per day but typically is more like 64 oz.
I also try to work out every other day or so for 30 min. on the eliptical machine.
