    Thyroid Questions

    Hi I just got my thyroid test back and it is Tsh=25.5 T4=7.2 T3=99.9. What does yhis mean. My docter was shocked but didn't explain to me what it means. She also said she has some meds she wants me to take.levo---trine? Is this bad? HELP!

    it means your thyroid is not making hormones enough for you and you are hypothyroid. normal is 3 for TSH I'm amazed you were walking and thinking clear witrh a level like that!

    it will take some time foryou to get it back to normal but every day you tsake your meds you will be getting back to norma more.

    it also means your metabolism will pick way up and your weight loss should be moving better real soon. we have a forum for thyroid discussion in the health forums next one down on your screen from this one. Check out the groitogen foods as many Atkins acceptable veggies and OWL foods can interfer with your thyroid hoirmone production and utilization.
