Hello all, can taking Zyrtec an allergy pill cause slow weight loss? I take one per day at 10mg, it works better than Clairitin??

Any medication can stall wait loss on atkins. The good news is, a lot of times with a quality low sugar diet, eating quality meats ( not packaged ) and quality veggies, your need for prescriptions can actually decline. I am not saying to stop taking your meds, but a healthy diet can achieve a lot and certainly can help with allergies.

I would suggest eating as healthy as possible, and try to limit your processed foods ( fake low carb bars/sweets/diet cola ) and just see how you feel.

Yes, you may find you need your Zyrtec less on Atkins...who knows? My experience with the Zyrtec was fine. It didn't cause me to stall or anything. But I only took a few when absolutely necessary. I think others take similar medicines with no (or few) probs. Hope that proves to be the case for you too... but keep on the alert for changes.
