I was just wondering why they're unhealthy. I avoid them like the book says, but I was wondering what they do. Do they just cause stalls or is there something worse too?

They are reported to be a carcinogen. What quantities are needed to be dangerous has never been established as far as I know. Elimination of them is really a personal decision. I just haven't been convinced that they were that dangerous yet in light of everything else.Kent - 35-M-6'4"

nitrates are carcinagines and carcinagines cause free radicals and free radicals lead to cancer.
I don't eat hot dogs and my bacon is all naturall. But if I did eat hot dogs I would only eat them once a month.Make it a happy low carb life!
