I was afraid that you were going to say they were growing. OMG,
No, I haven't experienced that either, I wonder if maybe they are just getting smaller because you are getting smaller. You skin is unstreatching????

Personally, I haven't noticed a change in any moles, but in all my internet searching, I have come across people mentioning that they noticed moles disappearing while following a low carb diet. I thought I would post the question to see if anyone noticed that in their experience, especially since this board has some long time Atkins Way of Lifers.
What prompted my intial internet search regarding diet and moles a while back was that last spring, while going through a pretty bad eating jag, I would notice new moles/dark freckles appearing literally overnight. It freaked me out and made me think that maybe there was a connection.
I certainly wouldn't mind if a few of mine decided to disappear!
well... now that you mention it, mine don't seem to be increasing! Not sure they are disappearing, but....

Not to play armchair doc, but from what I have gathered, it sounds like sometimes skin growths are stimulated by hormonal changes, and since low carb/Atkins can have a powerful effect on balancing out/stabalizing some of the hormonal imbalances (like with PCOS) maybe that is why people sometimes people notice moles and other assorted skin growths disappearing...
Funny this was mentioned, I had this flat large mole on my ear all my life, been there since I was a teen anyway, the only thing that I have done different lately is started tanning to prepare for Hawaii (5 weeks of rain and floods in Hawaii, crossing my fingers for nice weather) all of a sudden this old mole grows a round pearly looking brown thing out of the side of it, about half the size of a pencil eraser end, looks pretty gross. Freaked out, ran to the doc who said it looks benign and not to worry, he said he can freeze it off and the rest of the older mole will be cut out after my trip. Now it looks like it might be drying up some, I dunno. I went in to tan today and had a bandaid on my ear, told the reception girl about my THING that grew and she said "Oh yeah, there was this woman who had a birthmark on her chest and after she tanned one day, it grew a small bulb that looked like a fluid filled wart then it dried up and fell off" I must have looked pretty shocked cause she said "don't worry its just cause your skin isn't used to tanning" ummmmm now I'm really wondering about these tanning booths, time to go searching for info.
Yea, tanning beds kinda freak me out! It makes your skin feel werid, like you have a mild electric burn....I won't go in them anymore, the real sun is bad enough for your skin, but that fake bake can't possibly be good for you! Be careful!
