Some of you may know about the weirdo health issues I've been having lately, most obnoxiously manifesting itself as SEVERE hair loss (as in, pulling 4 inch clumps out of the drain two times a week severe) as well as a general feeling of lethargy/exhaustion, as well as a weird, bloating feeling in my tummy.
I finally presnted myeslf to my doctor and got my results today (she didn't do a cholesterol workup cause I had eaten breakfast that morning and it would've been really skewed because all I had eaten for breakfast--and dinner--was a KitKat. Yes, my secret shame is that my most foul Atkins temptress is candy, not even good expensive candy but stupid drugstore 69 cent king sized KitKats)
ANYWAYZ
turns out that I am borderline anemic! Here's something we don't get to discuss much in an Atkins forum. My results were "about 5" when normal was 15. I'm not sure exactly what that means, maybe 2big may. So now I have to take something called "Slow Fe" 2x daily (I already checked at my most favourite store ever, Vitamin Shoppe, and they didn't have it so this must be serious business) and see what happens.
Thyroid function is also normal. She checked for that too.
So anyway, I guess that's at least one mystery solved. Let's hope I can finally get my hair loss under control!

What would we do without it?
