  • i DONT poop... PERIOD!

    I don't poop ATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT ALL! Maybe once a week and thats it! I honestly cannot tell you when the last time I went poop was...

    what is this business? PLEASE explain!!!!

    ... (do i just need more fiber or am i doing something wrong)?

    hey Jam. I went from having BMs every day (full of fillers and carbage) to only going once a week. As long as your once a week BM is normal...not hard/painful, I wouldn't worry about it.

    I went to the pet supermarket a while back. And all the vendors for the fancy dog foods there were telling me how if I fed my dog a premium dog food made from real meat and not FILLERS and STARCHES and CORNMEALS that my dogs would eat less, be healthier and actually poop less. Sound familiar??

    I think this is because our bodies aren't getting all the nutrition-less fillers, and they are making use of all the healthy foods/nutrients we are eating...thus less frequent BMs.

      Are you getting your 3 cups veggies every day? I know a lot of people who don't eat veggies have this problem. If you aren't eating them, please start.You will NOT gain weight from eating veggies, I promise! Hope you get feeling better. I go everyday, but everyone is different.
      What would we do without it?

        As Joy said what is normal for you is normal for you. if this is your normal pattern and you aren't having any pain or other contipation issues then don't worry about it as you move up the OWL rungs and add back the healthy higher fiber carbs you will be moving more often.

              Make stir-frys's and use lots of chilli powder.
              Or, wait until your meat is a few days out of date then eat that, that'll soon get you pooping like you've never pooped before!!! (that was a wee joke)

                  i actually disagree...i don't think it's normal to poop less than once a day. I was having the same difficulty and researched the subject. I started out with psyllium husks (remember, fiber doesn't count towards your carb count) and recently just started a different kind of detox. and i feel SO MUCH BETTER.

                  you don't want to be carrying around that waste for a week at a time. definitely check out a health food store for some fiber. like i said, psyllium husks are the fave amongst low-carbers.

                    I tend to get constipated when I do Atkins, infact I was ready to take some fiber drink today. Instead, I had king crab legs dipped in butter, that took care of the problem for me within an hour

                      Hi,


                      I agree that once a week can't be good. I go at 2-3 times a day. One thing I do is every morning, I put about 1 tbsp of flax meal (I can't use psyllium) in a glass and add about 1 cup of diluted unsweetened cranberry juice (I put 3 tbsps of knudsen's unsweetend cranberry concentrate in a 2 litre bottle and fill it up with water). Mix it up and swallow it down. Have to say it takes some getting used to cause it is tart. If you wait to drink it the flax gets thick and maybe it is harder to swallow. I suppose you could use water but I drink the cranberry juice because it is just so full of good stuff (I guess my atkins is slightly modified huh). It is the only "juice" (highly diluted) I drink cause I normally hate juice and they are to high in sugar. Not sure this is appropriate to mention here but I got this idea from the Fat Flush. While I don't agree with everything she says and her plan is impossible for me, this was one of a few good ideas I kept from doing it. Good luck!

                        Eat lots of fibre, drink lots of water. Fried or baked onions always do it for me.

                          i did some checking on the web last night...very late and found out the "normal frequency" was anywhere from 2 to 3 times a day to 2 or 3 times a week. that's what's considered "normal". we all that life if full of normal and there are exceptions to everything.

                          it the op is not hurting, not experiencing any pain, everything "looks" okay (sorry for the graphic) and there hasn't been a change in the frequency, then i would say this is normal, for the op.

                          just an fyi: the op hasn't been in this thread since the original post back in april nor has she posted since the end of april. maybe she got the "problem" taken care of.

                            I had that problem and realized I was hardly eating any veggies. When I started eating more, especially lettuce (for some reason), I seemed to have better results.
