Does being on Atkins and going through serious ketosis make anyone else just hot? Like you can have the AC on 68 and you still feel like you're suffocating almost? Is this a metabolism thing? I couldn't find anything in DANDR about this. Maybe i'm just not looking hard enough.

Re: body heat
LOL well it could be the endothermic foods you are consuming. it could be the excess waste energy lost as heat from your increased metabolism from your working out and burning more
BUT actually on Atkins ketogenic eating ( that would be high fat low carb) we generate less thermal heat per carbon molecule then we do eating high carbohydrates buecayse our bodies are more efficient at extrating the energy as ATP body energy units then as waste heat loss from the needed reaction steps to get to ATP. Most folk notice they are colder as a result of this loss of waste heat productionby the book atkinseer

Re: body heat
You're right Aggie, I did expect 2big to know what was going on. Woman is like the Atkins encyclopedia
Thanks 2big!
For years and years i've complained about someone else keeping the house way too cold, and now i'm the one burning up! And the humidity we have here in the south, forget about it! It's worse now! I don't know what's really going on. It's especially worse on the days that I will do an hour of cardio then go to the tanning bed, which is a given I suppose. It's worth it.23 yrs female 5'9"
