http://agadaherbs.com/index_files/Page800.html i found this, they are located in MI. I was curious as to why they would be banned. As a soapmaker, i have hemp oil and hemp butter, figuring if you could get that, we'd be able to acquire these. Ebay sells the seeds also. I googled it came up with a gazillion places that offer them. Yeah!!!

I saw them at the local bulk store, and they're really cheap here. I may have to try them, maybe mix them into a flax bun or something. I'll let you know what i think, i might pick some up tomorrow. I'm a little skeptical, I've tried hemp flour and it was like ground up sod LOL.
Maybe they're not legal in some states because of their origin?
I've bought the hemp seeds (I believe that's what they were called) at the "Bulk Barn".
I used them in a LC scone I made, in place of the ground nuts that I often use in them. Not bad.
Lots of people sprinkle them on salads like sunflower seeds (at least that's what the lady at the health food store suggested).
But, I classified them as being in the nuts/seeds rung, as well, even though I'm past that point.

It's bulk barn that sells them here as well, I did see the hulled ones, not sure if they have the regular seeds. Did you use the hulled ones? I'm wondering if I do buy the regular seeds, if i should be grinding them inthe food processor like flax. I was also thinking of baking with them.
I bought the oil at Whole Foods. They were out of the seeds but they said they do carry them. The suggested dose for the oil was 2-3 Tablespoons a day. I have only taken it 2 times so far, I don't see any pro or con effects yet. I can see using this on a salad in place of olive oil but haven't tried it yet. The oil has a flavor that is kinda hard to describe, it tastes "green" if that means anything to anyone, it does have a kind of nutty flavor but it mostly tastes "green" Its not horrible but its kinda hard to swallow the second tablespoon and you'll taste it for a while after taking it. I think it will be easy to get used to though.
You can't cook with the oil because if you heat it above 350 degrees it says that it will turn into a transfat! How about that!
