    Doctors appt?

    Should I go to my doctor before I start atkins, or at my 6 week mark?

    I want to be cautious but not petrified. KNOCK ON WOOD, I have not had any problems. I was three weeks into my diet, when I gained 5 lbs back after a 1 1/2 week stop of atkins.

    I am deciding to go back on tommorow morning, but should I make an appointment this week?

    It's good to get checked at the beginning...so you have something to compare with, later on.

      Dr. Atkins wrote that we should go before we begin any weight loss regimen not only for routine blood work but for a general physical exam as well.
