Does anyone know of any cosmetics I could use to get rid of a red nose? I know it sounds a little silly, Its just the skin of my nose is really red and I really want to get rid of the redness. People have suggested I wear concealer, to me thats just an easy fix, Im a guy so I wouldnt really feel comfortable in doing so. I'd like to get rid of it rather than just hide it with make-up. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Re: Cosmetics to get rid of redness?
Danny, do you have any idea why it's red? Is it from the sun? When did it start? etc.
Also, I just saw your pictures and you are a VERY VERY handsome young man at BOTH weights!~Joy

Re: Cosmetics to get rid of redness?
i would ask the same and then add that concealers can blend into the skin nicely so it wouldn't be obvious that you are even using it. guys do lots of things to enhance the appearance that might seem "girlish" to some, for example the use of blowdryers, hairspray and hair gels. a concealer, done right, would probably do the trick.

Hey Danny... cool pics! You're a handsome one for sure!
I'd agree with jimmie that some concealers can't really be seen once rubbed into the skin. You'd be amazed the things men do nowadays to enhance their looks... and don't own up to!!!Before and after:

You might want to see a doctor too, to make sure it's just due to sun exposure and not some medically related skin condition.

Yup it is green that counteracts redness. I have a condition called Rosecea that causes redness, and I use a green moisturizer that is made by Physicians Formula that works very well.
This is it, though not sure they sell in the UK (i assume that's where you are?)

Maybe you can find a company online that you can order it from.
I would also recommend, since you are a man that you see a dermatologist about it. It could be rosecea as well, and in men it tends to affect the nose.. You would want to get a prescription for it if it is.Jen, 39, F

Go to a plastic surgeon or a dermotalogist. They can probably do a little laser treatment on it. I wouldn't go the makeup route, you can always tell it is there expecially if you sweat.

Re: Cosmetics to get rid of redness?
Eucerin makes a line of lotions and things that are specifically designed to help with redness. It's called, appropriately enough, "Redness Relief". The products contain licorice root, which is supposed to help. I've been using the face lotion and the anti-aging product for about a month, with noticeable results in the redness dept.
It's available at all drug stores, like Walgreens, etc. Also Target.

Re: Cosmetics to get rid of redness?
Avon makes a lotion to reduce the appearance of redness on skin. I have the same issue on my nose and cheeks. Also, they make mint green colored concealer to even out the tone of red skin. I've tried both and they work! Just be careful not to use to much of the concealer because the green tone does come through if too much is applied.
