    Kukicha Tea

I just did a google search on this tea, and here's one of the many things I found:

    BENEFITS

This tea has six times more calcium than cows milk and 2 1/2 times more vitamin C than oranges. It helps to make the blood more alkaline. When we are fatigued it will refreshen and strengthen us. It is beneficial for people suffering from bladder infection, heart diseases and indigestion. It is a good healthy drink for everybody including children. It also helps digestion.

I like it. It's just a smooth, mild tea. Not like Kombucha

          Re: Kukicha Tea

Kombucha kinda tastes sour, fizzy and vinegar-y.

I guess Kukicha is almost like black tea, but milder and no bitter taste at all.

I was just going to ask that too. I'd like to try some of the different teas like this but I don't know where to get it.

I buy it at health food stores. It's also known as "twig tea".

ah, i've heard of twig tea.
being in a health food store, it should be easy to find.

It's popular with Macrobiotic diets. It's a Japanese thing. So I guess you could also find it in a Japanese store.

maybe even in the speical sections of the big chain stores. they have a whole new isle at the place i frequent most. the whole isle is dedicated to Mexican foods, Oriental foods and so on. i'll have to check to see if twig tea is on the shelves.
