Always check with your doctor first before you consume any supplementary piills. Your health should be your priority.

Re: Is it bad to take lasix/water pills?
Sometimes Doctors prescribe lasix for Congestive Heart Failure... if you have that you need it. losing wt will help but keep talking to your doctor regularly and don't stop taking them unless your doctor tells you it's okay. It's also okay to get a second opinion if you don't agree but don't mess with your health... it's too important!
Listen to your doctor.

Re: Is it bad to take lasix/water pills?
didnt realize this thread was over a month old, but will give my 2 cents anyhow. taking one lasix wont kill you no. but when you take a lasix you lose a mass amount of potassium, and being on atkins your obviously not able to eat such things as say a banana to raise your potassium. besides its water weight, as soon as you drink something it comes right back on. wanna lose water weight, go sweat it off, the more you sweat during excersize the more calories your burning. a few years back there was a body builder who started taking lasix 3 days out from his competition date, so he would be as ripped as possible and his viens would pop out with everyflex , anywho, the stage became his final resting place.
