I have gout in my toe! Any suggestions as to how to deal with it without taking pills? Getting off this diet is just not an option because I like being on it, aside from the gout that is. Any suggestions?

Re: Gout!
i know a couple of members that have had a problem with this. hopefully one of them will buzz by here and give you the answer you need. i think i remember one of the admins dealing with it. i'll make sure of that for you.

Re: Gout!
I am the Admin who Jimmie is referring to, but in hindsight I am unsure whether or not it was actually gout I suffered with as the symptoms never returned. The doc gave me some drugs and it cleared up.
But I went through the problems when I was suffering with different parts of my feet hurting due to jogging / running. So my suspected gout could have just been wear and tear due to my trainers.
Sorry I cant really be much more help.

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!
I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

Re: Gout!
i did another search.
sarah has had gout. it was feb 2006 but i am sure she could recall the event. sarah's username is iyamamaschke and she doesn't post as much as she use to but she is still a constant figure here and i am sure if you pm her, she would answer. i'll also send her a pm asking her to stop by this thread when she gets a chance.
