  • Loose Skin?!

    Okay, so I'm really worried about having loose skin when I lose all the weight I need to. All in all it's about 100 lbs.
    Will I have loose skin even with exercise to tone?
    What do I need to do to prevent loose skin?
    I mean I want to be lean and toned, help!

    theres tonnes of posts on this around the forums if you do a search!

    dependent on age and exercise your skin will shrink, maybe not completely but for the most part, some people have had problems some havent, its one of those things where it just depends on your body!

    Dry brushing can help!

    loose skins better than fat filled skin... right?

      Exercise will help a lot. and if you do a search there are also some vitamins that supposedly help with skin elasticity... I'm opting for a tummy tuck lol.

      But like Emma said, loose skin is better than fat skin!

      Was, Am, Will be: 280/222/175ish.
      Started Dec 2005 and lost 105 lbs by mid 2006, maintained loss for the most part until 2009...then really let go & gained some back... lol

      so:
      Restart Progress:
      12/28/09 ~ 235.1
      01/04/10 ~ 229.0
      01/11/10 ~ 229.0 Grrrrr....
      (Induction= only 6lbs but lost 10 inches! yay)
      01/18/10 ~ 227.4

            Ditto on exercise and dry brushing. You won't know until it happens, how your skin will react, but give it all the help you can.

            Yeah... loose skin is way better than fat filled skin!
