      Re: Ostearthritis Question

I've had knee replacements last year and didn't have any problems being on Atkins and recuperating. As long as you exercise and keep your percentages in ratio, you should be okay.

          Re: Ostearthritis Question

I have OA in my Lower Lumbar Region as well as my right hip and my left hand. I have taken Celebrex, Bextra, and most recently Relafen/Skelaxin. I also started taking SAM E this summer. About 2 weeks into induction I was able to stop (for the most part) taking the Relafen and Skelaxin.

I am a firm believer in SAM E and Atkins. I have had no ill effects only good effect from Atkins.

I have now started a low impact fitness routine and I am feeling even better. Hopefully in the next few weeks I will start the C25K program.

          Good Luck,

          Julie

Congrats on your 7 lbs lost in 6 days, despite your OA and candida. Awesome! Sorry... am not clued up at all about OA but I've always heard that exercise helps greatly with it.

                Re: Ostearthritis Question

Do yo have access to a swimming pool? No impact on the joints!! I have OA in my knees ...have had 2 knee surgeries. I'm sure I have it in other joints but no diagnosis. I have found now & in the past doing Atkins reduces my joint pain.

Give Osteo-Biflex a try. I am a runner and occasionally suffer from hip pain and I find that it really helps.
