  • Cold Help?

I just started on 11/26. I got a cold that has wiped me out. Does anyone have any advice for food and/or medicine that can help??

    Thanks.

    Re: Cold Help?

I'm a great believer in the comfort of Jewish penicillin... i.e. a nice bowl of hot chicken soup.

    Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks for the help! Do you know if chicken broth is legal in induction?

        Yep, sure is!

Homemade is better for you (and lower in carbs), but you can use what comes in the can as well! Make sure you count each serving.

        Hope you feel better!

          Re: Cold Help?

As long as you make it with induction legal ingredients, it's legal!! If you use commercially prepared soup, then check the ingredients list to make sure there are no hidden sugars in there.

Sipping hot lemon toddies is good too when you have a cold... just hot water, lemon juice and splenda (careful not to go over the sweetner limit though).
          Get well soon!
