  • Sore Tonsils when entering Ketosis

    Hi all,

I have been low carbing for a little while now with great results. Occasionally I have carbs. This Thanksgiving I skipped the bread but did partake in the mashed potatoes. So, the day after, I get back on the wagon and keep going low carb.

It seems that everytime I do this and then enter back into ketosis, one of my tonsils becomes very inflamed and sore and has alot of discharge. Has anyone else experienced this? I have never had tonsil trouble and they never bother me otherwise; just when I enter ketosis.

    Thoughts?

How very strange and unpleasant... Never heard this before. How many times has it happened, and could it be coincidence, do you think? Does it last a long time?

I'm curious to see if anyone else has had a similar complaint.

You could say that it's a very good reason not to yo-yo between low carbing and not!
