I have just completed one week of Induction (not cheats) and am at the beginning of my second week. I have checked my ketosis level with the sticks the last couple of days and I am at a lt pink which on the chart is small amount. I have lost a little over 7 lbs, so something is working (may be water), but I was wondering if everyone registered real dark at this point? I am wondering how perfect you have to be to get that dark color?

Re: Ketosis
If the colour veers even a little, you're in ketosis. The depth of colour doesn't tell you how much fat you're burning though, or whether it's dietary fat or body fat. If you do get a very dark purple reading, this could mean you aren't drinking enough water (which dilutes the colour).
Don't stress the ketostix too much. Just use them as a tool. Actually, many of us have reached goal without ever seeing the sticks turn colour. Before and after:

Re: Ketosis
I agree with Sally. I use Ketostix as a tool to keep me motivated, and to see how foods affect my colors.
I guess as long as your losing this is a good sign! Plus, if your drinking a correct amount of water you should not test that black purple color. Maybe the middle pink is about right.hw 212/lw 102/ cw ?
