Stimulant Meds / Antidepressants - and their effects on Atkins

Hey there folks!

I started atkins in Apr '04 with MUCH success loosing 73 lbs by September. Sometime last year during my nasty divorce I strayed and I'm back to my beginning weight almost. (240).

Since then I have been prescribed CELEXA (GENERIC) for anxiety & depression and ADDERALL for my ADD. Both of these medications have done wonders for me, especially professionally. At this point I cannot be with out them.

Anyone have any experience with either of these drugs hindering their progress on Atkins? Your feedback is much appreciated.

**I'm currently reading the DANDR again and prepping myself (and my pantry) for beginning Atkins again. I'm very excited!

im interested in this as well as I have to go to the doc for meds tomorrow. I am bipolar and have mild OCD (so you can imagine how things turned upside dow nnot doing everythign on routine when i started this WOE) and I have to be on meds for anxiety, bipolar disorder, mood (get pretty nasty and go from zero to b**** in 4.2 seconds). I feel like a freaking race car with that. Needless to say I know I need my meds so i really need to know of some suggestions to make regarding my treatments.

I was previously on celexa and it did no good, I have been on wellbutrin, depakote, cymbalta <literally after 3 days made me shake and tremor to the point that I couldnt work or leave the house> lexapro, lamictal, xanax.... and honest to god the only ones that have done any good so far are depakote and xanax. depakote will slow down the metabolism resulting in weight gain even if you eat one blade of grass a day. Xanax eh... i think most everyone knows what happens with that. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.... YOUR PASSED OUT lol.
