    hello,
    yesterday i woke up with a tickle in my throat and today its now a cold...is there any excersing i cando without making it worse?? I love excersing and am afraid to gain weight if I dont....any help?

    Exercise won't make it worse, at least in my experience, I just get winded a lot easier. I've exercised through sicknesses with no problem but I am a little obsessed. But if your body is telling you to rest, then just rest. The only way I wouldn't work out is if I had a fever.

        i read somewhere its okay to work out with a head cold. but anything in lungs means don't work out. again I am not a doctor, a few days rest won't kill anyone.

            LOL Love that quote, too!

            I've also heard about not working out if your "cold" is below your neck (deep cough, aches, fever, and so forth), but ok to do so if it's above your neck (sniffles, sore throat). Like Jimmy said, a few days rest won't kill anyone and your body may even crave the rest if you've been working out like a fiend.

            By the way, congrats on losing 28 pounds!
