What "period pill" are you referring to?
Pamprin contains a generic form of Tylenol, as well as some anti-histamines, and a diuretic. When taken according to the package directions, it should be completely safe. Some menstrual meds contain caffeine, which I understand is a no-no, but in pretty small amounts. Pamprin Multi doesn't have caffeine.
I'm allergic to most pain medication, Tylenol excepted, and I can tell you honestly that I've never had a single problem taking it, or Pamprin Multi Symptom. Sometimes, when I can't find plain Tylenol around the house, I'll take a Tylenol PM, which has diphenhyramine added to help you sleep. I do notice that the diphenhydramine makes me look and feel puffy the next day, but it's never stalled out my weight loss.
Just take a Tylenol or a Pamprin Multi if you need one! (Unless you have liver problems or a drug sensitivity, obviously)
        Feel better!
