    I was all smiles!

    I began Atkins (again) on December 3, 2008. I had blood drawn so I could get all my numbers to do a before and after. The blood was drawn about 3 weeks after I started this WOE. I went in to see my Dr yesterday to get my results. While I didnt get my exact #'s for cholesterol, I did get my A1C. About a year ago, I had an A1C of 9.1.

    Yesterday, you should have seen my doctors eye brows shoot up in to his hairline when the words 'six point one' came out of his mouth. (Along with a pause and "WOW"!) My fasting sugar was 149.

    Cholesterol and kidney function are A-OK!

    Blood pressure is a little high, but the Dr didnt seem concerned.

    I was so giddy and happy about my A1C. I think I scared the nurses.
