A study published this month in the Journal of Nutrition shows that eating at least five weekly 1-ounce servings of nuts is associated with reduced risk of heart disease in women with type 2 diabetes. The research was conducted by Harvard scientists, who followed 6309 women with type 2 diabetes over a period of 23 years.
