  • Stomach and Liver

    Dear dieters,

Did you ever experienced that your stomach aches after a big nice steak ... or eggs with bacon?

I tent to have this problem from time to time...And liver hurts...I take some herb supplementary for keeping it in normal condition...

How do you cope with all the fat you eat?

Does your body have any negative response to Atkins?

    Thank you,
    Anna

Have you seen your physician? I think you should.

And you are eating vegetables, aren't you?

Well... I do eat vegetables.. I would say all my intake of carbs, or nearly all - are veggies... I am going to be 21 this January... ( people can get big that early)..
And I have never before suferred any stomach problems...
I don't smoke don't drink alcohol (1 glas of wine once in 2-3 weeks isn't really "drinking")...
I take vitamins and I drink herbal teas and lots of water...
Probably you are right I need to go to see doctor..
It's just my friend was on Atkins for nearly 2 years... She have lost more than 30 kg...
And she is my main inspirations, but she suferred same problems..I had somewher on a backmind that those are common on Atkins..
My mother thinks this diet generally BIG Evil, although I've explained her number of times why it is not..

          Re: Stomach and Liver

maybe its your vitamins i find it very hard to find a vitamin that doesnt hurt my gut

also maybe your just eating to much i ate a Giant slab of steak and it was slightly hard on my gut for a few hours to digest

or maybe your eating to much fiber i cant handle much fiber at all fiber hurts my gut i have to cut all the stems off my broccoli and just eat the top flower part cause the stems are where the fiber is i also dont like eating broccoli raw i like frying it for 5 or so mins with lots of butter so the top flower parts absorb the butter

or maybe you have not ate red meat in many months and now that your starting it will take your body a few weeks to adjust

Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, IBD, IBS, Crohn's, Ulcerative Colitis, Celiac, & Candida Diet Program.

also as for fat i used to not beable to eat as single bite of broccoli or fatning meat before atkins but now that im on atkins and cut out all them bad carbs i can eat tons of boccoli and fatning meat and get no stomach problems at all

carbs + fat = stomach problems
very low carbs + fat = no stomach problems

also make sure you are eating enough fat if your eating just meat like too much protein that can hurt your gut too

          www.fitday.com

% to aim for while doing atkins induction is 65% fat , 30% protein , 5% carbs

also know that stomach problems can be very confuseing sometimes so try these options first and if they dont work try some things yourself and also know that your stomach has to be healthy and healed before you can properly tell if a food upsets it or not
