It's too bad the minister is not calling for some concentrated unbiased research - the kind that Gary Taubes says takes us where the science leads. This is in stark contrast to the current practice of making the research findings fit a predetermined result. Then, maybe some real progress will be made on slowing/reversing the obesity epidemic.Last night, Andrew Lansley, the shadow health secretary, urged the Government to increase their attempts to tackle the problem by increasing the warnings on fatty and unhealthy foods.
