BBC News - No quick drug fix for high diabetes risk

"Losing as little as 5% of body weight has been shown to make a dramatic difference in other studies."

Dr Victoria King, research manager at Diabetes UK, said: "Unfortunately there is unlikely to be a quick and easy route to prevent type 2 diabetes and a healthy balanced lifestyle with a good diet and physical activity levels are the best preventative methods."
Atkins didn't say 'Calories don't count',
    he said, 'Don't count calories.'

Re: No quick drug fix for high diabetes risk

when people read that article they get confused healthy diet active life style... but they should know this

The scientific facts surrounding type 2 diabetes are:
    • Type 2 diabetes is not an inherited disease as often claimed.
    • Type 2 diabetes is 100% preventable by eating the low-carbohydrate diet..
    • Type 2 diabetes is 100% caused by eating excessive amounts of carbohydrates.
    • Type 2 diabetes symptoms can be controlled by eating the low-carbohydrate diet.
    • Animal fats do not cause diabetes and do not make diabetes worse..
    • Saturated animal fats do not cause diabetes and do not make diabetes worse.

if they told people that it would make things soo much more clear but instead they leave confuseing things like blah blah blah healthy diet what is a healthy diet too them? one that causes type 2 diabetes?

atleast that article add's to the giant obvious list that most drugs are not only useless but harmful
