  • Green Tea to Lower Bad Cholesterol?

Has anyone had any success drinking green/black tea to lower cholesterol?

I’ve heard that it can help (but you have to drink 4-5 cups a day) to really see an effect.

Please share your thoughts on this.
    Thanks!

My Dr. has me drinking one cup a day until I go back for my next blood panel. We will see if the results are as good as he expects. My cholesterol isn't really that high but he would like it to come down a few points. I guess I'm his tester...lol

Last months topic was about this very subject. It's a sticky at the top of this forum. You might want to check it out.

I’ve read that you need to drink 4-5 cups a day to make a difference. Did your doctor mention that to you?
I’ve been drinking about 2-3 a day for a week. It’s a lot of tea, BUT if it really helps lower cholesterol I’m in.
Also 2Big said that coffee can raise cholesterol levels, so I’ve cut that out too for about a week.
      We’ll see……
