    Re: 3 Years ago today!

WOW! Great job to all of you who have quit! i know how hard it is!! I started smoking when i was 14 years old! i have quit 3 times now!! once it lasted for 4 yrs. Once for 3 months, and once through my pregnancy (i was back to the smokes a week after the baby was born)!! sighhhh!! So maybe for me 4th time will be a charm. I have no intention of quitting at the moment, i need to concentrate on getting this weight off! I plan on quitting when i get to my goal weight! I'm mentally preparing for it now! that is going to be the gift to myself, the reward i recieve for losing all the weight..to quit smoking for good..so i am healthy all the way around!!

Congrats to all of you who have quit this filthy habit!!..I have been a smoker for 43 yrs. now. I would like to quit while I'm doing Atkins, some people say not to take on too much, that it won't work. I've got one pack left & I'm going to seriously work at both. I've been mentally preparing myself for this by having a clear picture of myself as a none smoker & taking care of my "whole" body, inside & out.

            Congratulations indeed !!
April 14th marked my 4 year anniversary of quitting after smoking for at least 25+ years !! I have to say my hat is off to any one that has quit b/c I know it is the hardest thing I ever walked away from....and to anyone who wants to quit I say, just keep trying and you WILL eventually stop, Lord knows I quit a thousand times b4 I truly got my "head" into the reasons I needed to quit !!

Keep up the good work !! p.s thanks for all the encouragement here on the ABB !!!
