      Re: Any other WoW heads?

My husband and I actually met on WoW, almost 3 years ago on Feathermoon. Just a pair of zealous pallies on an RP server, mowing through Deadmines through fun, profit, and tons of linen.

About 6 months ago, I decided to go back to school to persue my Bachelors. So I cancelled my account and walked away (oh, my lowbies, how I miss thee!). My hubby cancelled his account too - only to start playing Warhammer Online.

I used to enjoy playing together with him. Now, the amount of time he spends sucked into the computer majorly perturbs me. I've actually stolen the router once - he just wardrove off the neighbor for a bit and then bought a new router. Gah!

Ayya, sorry to hear that. My fiance actually works on Warhammer Online though, so it's nice to hear people are enjoying it at least!

Heh - sitting here across from hubby who is on vent, playing. I hadn't seen this thread for a while.

Here is what we all need: [:Mana Energy Potion:] | RL Race Across Azeroth (Ok, minus the silly outfits)
Except do it with stationary bikes to eliminate the falling down on your face factor. I am serious. If they combined Wii-fit with WOW, the nerds would be the buff social group.

That's probably true XD If we had to jog in place to run anywhere, or had to really swing the wii-mote every time we hit anything, or had to put our hand up whenever we were healing anyone... we'd probably be in fabulous shape.

The Wrath of the Lich King expansion came out last night... I haven't played in awhile, but I may have my boyfriend reactivate my account. I think I'll do what you said you did, Titian... using it as a reward after, say, working out (something I really don't do enough).

LOL - you reminded me to go down and check the mail. My expansion just arrived! Guess I know what I will be doing tonight, reward or not!

                Re: Any other WoW heads?

OMG my bf and I were sad little WoW fiends for about 4 years :O We would raid 4 nights a week, and then spend every other night jumping aimlessly around Shattrath chatting to people. It is so sad to say but I would avoid going out so I could get my fix using lame excuses like I had a lot of work to do or I had no money.

Well, the cure for us was travelling. We have been WoW free for 6 months now! And god, travelling made me realise there is a whole world out there and just how much I missed out on while I was sitting infront of the computer back home

But in saying that, WoW is a really fun game and I would like to play it again - but not obsessively. Just every now and then when there really isn't anything going on and it is night! Only if I know that I won't get re-addicted and in a way Atkins will help me with that.

This is random, but your dog looks gorgeous Titianwasp!

Lol - thank you sweetie. We got really lucky with her. She was a rescue from a very bad situation. Half mastiff, half greyhound. Her name is Lucy and she's the biggest darling. For some reason, she always comes and lies down when we're taking photos so she's in a lot of them!

I confess I played two days worth of WOW during the long weekend, but also cooked, and did crafts with the kids - kept a little balance.

This is our dog Espa! We rescued her from the SPCA ... they could be twins! She is a gorgeous lady-like dog, with a huge personality and it is hard to remember she isn't a human. <3

Um, yeah, and I think part of that - well, for sure, really - was a cause of my weight gain. I would come home from work at midnight and play for 2 - 3 hours..... nice big sandwich in hand, maybe an iced tea, and some cookies.

Now, on day 3 of Atkins, at least I now grab a small bowl of tuna salad.

Now, as far as WoW goes.....

                      Let's see....

probably 20 characters that are between levels 25 - 40.

I am the only woman in a house of seven. Every male in my household has an account. I am beyond a WOW widow. I am the only surviving person of our species who does not play WOW. Cocoboy got the family WOW sweatshirts for Christmas - with everyone's character, group, etc on them (beautiful sweatshirts BTW). I have always joked that my character was a Labrador, who had a pet flea. My Sweatshirt? The character's name was Labrador, and my group name was "I Don't Play".

Me and my hubbie used to be addicts lol. Not sure what broke it, I think it was finding other fun games to play. I have some good pals on the game, which is why I like to play.

I had one 80 and three 70 toons on the alliance side, regular server. Then I defected to a pvp server as horde...which I now prefer. ;-)

The game can be tons of fun, but I've realized we have to make sure it doesn't take over our lives!

*raises hand* Another WoW player here. I won't call myself a junkie anymore, as I actually have lost the urge to play. Typical burn out, happens to me every 6 months, I wont play for a couple months then I go back in and play again for awhile.

I have so many toons I can't even begin to list them all on multiple servers. My main server when I play though is Jubie (it's oceanic pvp) on the horde side.

My husband and I both play. However the lucky... umm person, yeah person is what I mean, has this through the roof metabolism. He's 6'1, 210 lbs of very well proportioned maleness. *grumbles again* He eats, drinks and just generally consumes whatever he wants with no threat of being round. Obnoxious lol.

I actually was pretty strung out on WoW and a few other MMORPG games when I started Atkins the first time. I lost 130lbs while still being... well pretty strung out on the games!

Now, I rarely game, so let's see how good I can do at losing this extra layer of cuddly fluff I have.
                              Mini goals:
                              1st - 209 lbs - Smaller then my husband!
2nd - 202 lbs - BMI no longer considered obese
3rd - 199 lbs - No longer have to say 2 in my weight!
5th - 168 lbs - BMI no longer considered overweight

hello! Another WoW player here. I am also not as into it as I used to be. At the start of B.C, I was playing every night, raiding a lot. With WoTLK, I have hardly raided at all and for a long time wasn't even in a guild (I have done Naxx and a handful of heorics).

My main is a druid (alliance), I have a lot of alts, including a few horde.

Addiction? That would be my dh. It hasn't been good for our marriage (I admit we had issues before WoW, but the addiction to WoW certain hasn't helped at all). I guess I have realized there is more to life than WoW.
