I already did. See my Day One thread!

I agree. There's no time like the yesterday to start something like that.

remember you can take any OTC pain reliever that is caffeine free that you normally take for your caffeine withdrawal headache.

          Happy caffinefre low carbing.

I hated diet coke... hated it hated it hated it. Before Atkins, I would've rather drank a beer than diet coke and I hate beer.. it reminds me of cat pee (or horse pee if it's bud).

Course, before Atkins I was one of those people who would get one of those super big gulp sized sodas (regular with all the sugar and calories!) with breakfast, another can or two before lunch, a large soda with lunch, and before I left work would have one or two more cans, I'd have a can with dinner, and a can before bed usually. The only water I drank was when I was taking my iron pills. I never admitted I was addicted to soda, always telling people I could give it up no problem.

*sigh* So, I was good for the longest time on Atkins. I drank my water like a good girl and avoided sodas. Oddly enough, I never got one of those caffiene withdrawal headaches (course.. at the time I pretty much had constant headaches 24/7/365 so I wouldn't notice a difference). Recently I discovered diet cherry coke. I have a can every other day.. it's my treat for dealing with all the stuff thats going on.

Hmm.. If Cleo gives up diet coke, and Desert gives up Splenda.. I will give up chewing on my nails for one week starting right now.

I drink caffiene free diet cola in oderation (and sometimes too much)

I prefer Pepsi Max, which is sugar but not caffeine free.

I here tell of a Pepsi with splenda in USA - is that decaf?

And will it cross the pond?
Atkins didn't say 'Calories don't count',
              he said, 'Don't count calories.'

The only Pepsi I know of with Splenda is Pepsi Edge, which still has sugar products in it. It's half the calories of regular pepsi and tastes a little different but not much. Coke has one to.. called C2. But again, they BOTH have sugar products in them as well as the splenda.

There is talk of them coming out with a splenda version of their diet products, but they haven't come out yet that I know of.

I gave up all sweets and artificial sugars for one week. Today was my week mark and I had a Diet Rite. I'm not going to regret it, but i'm also not going to go overboard.

I've been good today. I'm going to buy some bitter apple spray though, used it when I had ferrets and got some on my finger once and it was yuck-o! Won't use it on animals anymore.

I've never been a big fan of diet anything, so when I switched to atkins I cut caffeine ou completely. If I can't have regular soda, then I'm just not drinking soda!!

However, now that I've had nothing but water to drink for the past month or so, I do indulge in one can of diet soda maybe once a week - if that. and only one can because for me if I drink anymore than I know it will spark a sugar craving.

Does being addicted to ADBB count?

I do have a bit of an addiction to fast foods - especially when me and/or my fiancee are in the mood to cook. I do go with bacon cheeseburger plain no bun.. but for the next week (or more) no fast food will touch my lips!

i gave up caffeine-free diet soda on the same day that i got my DANDR and read about the aspartame(sp?) thing. there is a generic brand here in jax, fl, that uses splenda in the diet soda but i don't know if it comes in caffeine-free. trying to find out though.

so i am totally caffeine free now and honestly, i can't believe my wife is still here instead of staying at her mother's LOL.

but seriously, good luck to you guys! ima rootin fer ya!
