Hi Folks, :wave
First let me caveat this post by saying I know very little about Hypnotism, I've never experienced it first hand and I harbor a belief that the majority of Hypnotists are charlatans.
Ok that said, this morning was incredibly tough for me. Yesterday marked two weeks without a cigarette the physical withdrawal pangs only last about 72 hours - the rest is purely psychological and anyone whose been there knows so I won't waste your time by describing it.
Anyway I was scouring the web this morning ~ for what I really didn't know, a support group, an inspirational quote, a different site than quitnow.com or whyquit.com..just something, anything.
I came across a site out of the UK by an organization called Uncommon Knowledge Ltd. Basically you can down load hypnotic sessions on virtually anything from quitting smoking to issues dealing with self esteem and confidence for $8.95 a session.
Rubbish! or at least I thought, I clicked off the site, answered a few posts and went to do my three mile WATP but at the back of my mind I was intrigued.
The craving was persistent but bearable so I figured worse case scenario I lose 9 bucks - less than the price of two packs of cigarettes.
The sessions don't Put you in a "trance" none of that mumbo jumbo (your eyes are getting heavier..etc etc) or really anything at all pertaining to my pre conceived notions about hypnosis.
All I can tell you is right from the start I felt relaxed and at peace, the anguish and frustration evaporated.
My desire to remain smoke free reinforced - and overall I was so unexpectedly delighted with the experience that I've tried a few more. Once you download a session you can of course keep it forever.
In fighting addictions anything and everything that can keep you strong and on course has value. I would honestly recommend giving a session a shot, I received a great deal of satisfaction from it and you might too. If you're interested here's a link to their site:
