  • Thank you God... I am not alone....

I am relativly new to this whole site! Just now feeling my way around these rooms for the first time! While I was stumbling over a few misplaced thoughts of my own, I noticed this room had a good feeling to it! I actually belong here, with you! Hopefully low carbing will win this tug of war I have going on with the PCOS!

My name is Stephanie! I have had this diagnosis for 10 years now! Weight only goes up. I am 30 now. Trying (still) to conceive... seperate issue! Need to lose weight. Need to be a few pounds less. LOL! Only a few though right? HAH!

Not much to be said yet. But if you see a tent and a sleeping bag outside this room, do not be suprised. I may just get comfy and stay awhile if thats ok with you!

      Hey Stephanie!

I just found your thread on PCOS and wanted to let you know that Mayor Mari and I both have it too.

As far as I can see eating low-carb is the only way someone with PCOS can lose weight -- so you are on the right track. It seems, also, that some have even gotten pregnant while low-carbing.

Anyway, I just wanted to stop here and say "hi!" to you.

Hi TirtleBaby...I am new to this site also. I have tried my own version of Atkins and failed. However, I am going to give it another try. I am 36, 233 pounds and have PCOS. My husband suffers from a low sperm count and the docs feel it's because of him that we cannot have children. We would like to start IVF but we can't because I need to lose weight before they will treat us. I have been reading this forum for a couple of days now and feel very encouraged by the success of so many people. I hope you will feel encouraged also. I need to set a mini goal of 210 pounds. I need to be this weight to receive IFV. I hope it works out for you and all who read this.

            God Bless you all!
