i have pcos as most of u. i havnt been trying to concieve until i dropped the weirght since it was to frustrating trying with the pcos and weight and cycle being out of control. i am just so upset because i just found out that someone else is pregnant. this happens to me 2 or 3 times a year and it is so unfair. what really made me upset was that in 2000 my mother in law had a unplanned pregnancy and he is now a 5yr old little boy, and today i just found out that my cousin in law is pregnant. its just really frustrating, i know that i have a plan and God has a plan, but i am like come on already, lol. well thats just my little whining but i do feel better now that i got some of it out.

Re: crying my eyes out
Hey! Hang in there! I've read testimonies of ladies who couldn't conceive, but after they did low carb for a while eventually got pregnant. PCOS seems to be caused by insulin resistence and this way of eating is just what your body needs to straighten out those issues.
My dr told me that when you lose about five or ten pounds that your body's hormones try to normalize. So, if that is true, just give Atkins a chance.
Keep following this program (commit for at least a year) and your dreams may come true!

Re: crying my eyes out
aw, I am so sorry. I know its difficult to want a baby so bad and others just "pop" - seem to have one. God knows the desire of your heart and He sees ahead of where you and I do. Keep your chin up!250/170's/145ish I finally reached what my driver's license SAYS I weigh!!!

Re: crying my eyes out
Thank you all for the post, it really made me feel better. I will just have to keep going and keep losing the weight. Its funny cause i feel like over the course of 12hours i have went through all the 5 stages of grief, if that makes sense to anyone. I have finally started to feel joy for my newest relative and i cant wait til the baby is born. This baby couldnt be getting better parents, so that is one think i am thankful for. Just hope the next person to have a baby is me, lol, but i am not planning on trying to next summer after my husband gets back from a tour overseas (not war, we got lucky) so next summer hopefully i will be posting i'm pregnant, lol.
Thanks again

Re: crying my eyes out
Hi,
I just wanted to give you some encouragement. I too have PCOS and tried for 4 years to get preg. I took Clomid for a while and never got preg. I know exactly how you feel. It's so hard to see other people getting preg. so easy and you wonder why is it so hard for me? But keep on losing and trying to conceive..you can't give up or be discouraged. Me, I'm 30 years old and last October I gave birth to a healthy, beautiful little girl...and I wasn't even on fertility...I'm hoping to have another..We just have to hang in there and keep trying...In God's time, it will happen..Best Wishes...

Re: crying my eyes out
Hi, hugs to you. Hope it happens for you soon, my sister is going through the same torment of seeing everyone else having babies when she has been trying for so long. I, after having 4 miscarriages know the disappointment when you want a baby and it doesn't happen. Thankfully, I do have 3 children who I thank God for everday!

Re: crying my eyes out
I'm another one in your boat. Today I found out someone I'm friends with is expecting. I am so happy for her, and yet that twinge of "why so easy for others and not for me" came by, and the blues hit for a bit. But in God's good time! Keep trying, because this diet DOES work against PCO! I'm not pregnant yet, but I've had millions of improvements in every other symptom area.
