I started Met. about 2 months ago. I had not had a period in 6 mon. Well about a month ago I finally started and it's still here. It will not go away. LOL. I'm sick of it..I feel bad about complaining about it because before, I complained about not ever having one..Has any of you ever had the same thing happen?

Re: Aunt Flo wont leave!!
I had a period that lasted for 3 months, but never got heavy. The whole time it was like the beginning of one. Eventually my GYN put me on progesterone, and it would come to a head and quit. Its pretty common with PCO actually. Have you just started Atkins? Because it does ALOT for regulating Aunt Flo for PCOS'ers and others who have issues related with their blood sugar/ insulin resistance. Best of luck!

Re: Aunt Flo wont leave!!
The longest Flo ever stuck around was a little over 2 months, very heavy at first (i.e. I sat in the bathtub for HOURS & hours heavy and didn't go to work for a week) and then steady & persistant the rest of the time. Previously, Flo was gone for about 3 years, so I guess it took awhile to flush everything out.
Like the previous posters, my advice is to see your OB/GYN. Good luck!!

Re: Aunt Flo wont leave!!
I never knew it could stay longer than it should!! I've always had a 5-day aunt Flu, but this month it dragged for 8 days, and thats the first time EVER .. so reading that it could go on longer because of PCOS made me feel a bit better..
