    19 and PCOS

    Hello, I'm a Irish chick, 19, no periods in 4 years, hairy chin and overweight. Sounds horrible, doesn't it? I'm really hoping Atkins will help me out, how has it worked out for you girls? xx

    if you are insulin resistant PCOS then Atkins Induction will do wonders for you. Are you on any meds to sensitive you to insulin?

      Atkins has helped me with such things as my moods, depression, heart burn, high blood pressure, and cholesterol, and definitely with weight, as I've lost 70 pounds. I have had periods the last two months, but was taking prednisone for a bad bronchial infection, and I think this had a lot to do with it. As for the hairy chin, I'm afraid it hasn't helped that much. I'm still shaving for now, but would like to try electrolysis. Does anyone have any good suggestions for getting rid of the unwanted hair?

        I have been thinking about getting the laser hair removal. It seems to be cheaper than electrolysis and takes less visits.

          laser hair removal works VERY well, but be prepared to spend thousands.

            I'd rather send a few months paycheck once than have to wax over and over for the rest of my life, LMAO. But good luck Seaneen, I'm 19 and have PCOS too -.-;;
