  • Hi newbie here!

Hi I'm new to your board. It was sugested I pop in this foum. I've had pcos for about 13 years. In 97 I did hormones and decided the side effects were worse that what it was treating. I later developed dm2 so I was turned on to low carb and lost 72 lbs. Most of the pcos symptoms besides my balding corners of my bangs went away.
Last dec started metformin for the dm2 and pcos (gaining back a tad over 40 lbs could do that!). After a few months on met my hair was amazing!!! I quit it in june due to muscle pain and guess who has major hair loss again. Uh huh me! I restarted the met again this week at a half dose. Met seems to make it really hard for me to lose weight.
    Wish me luck!

welcome and good luck with your weightloss. I also have pcos. I'm doing better since i've been lc. I'm not on meds and hope to do this the healthy natural way. Hopefully my hormones become normal and the facial hair disappears. Luckily i can hide it(side burns)
