I have officially been diagnosed with PCOS. I went to see the endo, and he said no question hands down that's what is wrong with me. The great part is that this is my light at the end of the tunnel. It is so much more assuring to know what is wrong and to know that I am doing something to correct it in my WOE /Exercising etc.

I was put on a large dose of Metformin. 850 /day for 1 week and then 1700/day after that. After 6 months I will come back and be re-evaluated.

I just have to say Praise God it wasn't something more serious. I am going to be okay!!!

I have PCOS as well.. please mention to your doc metabolic syndrome/insulin resistance as well. They go hand in hand. I have that as well. Not fun to deal with but the good news is you are on the right diet! This woe is wonderful to deal with all those symptoms.

I have IR as well. My regular Physician diagnosed that part and because of it and the irregularaty of my cycle suspected PCOS and sent me to the endocrinologist.
