No ladies. I do not have PCOS, but my 21 year old daughter does.
For the past year she has suffered form persistent headaches. At first she was not taken seriously by the University Medics. We got her a private consultation with a Consultant Neurologist (UK: not National Heath Service)
He first diagnosed a "post viral headache" and prescribed a very low dose of a drug used for depression. No effect. Now he is exploring the migraine angle and trying a very low dose of an anti-epilepsy drug. It may be having some effect.
I noted there is some correlation between migraine and PCOS. What do you ladies think? Are there any particularly useful internet links you could point me to?
In general, my daughter is very overweight (it's in the family), now whether the PCOS is cause or effect I know not - it is also associated with insulin disorders. But that is another story.
She has been tested for diabetes and thyroid deficiency, and nothing found.
Just thought you who live with PCOS might have some insights.
