Hi, I like to jump right into this. I'm 20 years old and I think I might have PCOS almost for sure even though I haven't got tested for it yet but I have horrible body hair, dark skin on my neck, since I was about 10, I'm overweight for my height, I'm 5'3, I'm about 180 something, I've been this size since a few months after starting h.s. (I started eating REALLY bad) I've always been kind of over weight except when I was about 9 and 10 I got sick and lost alot of weight but I had got my appetite back and ate everything that was put in front of my face. I've recently decided I wanted to lose weight and have a healthy lifestyle. I've always attempted to lose weight but after a day or 2 I forget about it. But for a about a week now I've been consistent. Eating in moderations, no pop, drinking water, working out, adding vegetables in my meals and I want to try the Atkins Diet because I've heard great things about it. My question is to the women who use Atkins, do you do all the phases of Atkins? like Phase 4, I saw the recipes for that and it all seems really good I was wondering if any of you got to Phase 4 with no problem and didn't gain anything?

Well, that's the idea. True, not everyone gets there ... for various reasons.

The last phase is maintenance and I am there. Sure itt possible to be here and not gain. We have several maintainers around. Atkins is set up in a way that we slowly learn what will make us gain so we avoid those foods and that amount of carbs. So the amounts of carbs that I can eat is fairly low - others can eat more it is an individual thing. If I stick to what I learned in the process I will be good.
