I was thinking this might be a good area to discuss what you ahve been eatiing and how many carbs you are injesting and such. I know that the last few months..ok basically since I started the morning sickness it has been eat what you can when you can. After the loss of 14 lbs in the first trimester I wasn't to worried about what I was eating just so I was eating something. Now that I have gained back almost 10 lbs of what I had lost from the morning sickness I think it is time to get back in check so to speak. Now that I only have a few adversions to things..but of course they are big things right now..

I can't eat eggs (wioll try again but scared)

I can't eat meat..maybe I can slip in chicken but just meat turns my stomach and I am at a loss what to replace it with.

I have been eating too much carb stuff I know that and wanted to get back on track with better things and thought maybe if there were some menu suggestions staring me in the face, I could pull myself back together to get back into the game. I just feel so lost without my eggs and meat..I have to eat every 2 hours and that is no lie my stomach will get quezzy if I don't so I thought hopefully getting back to better "snacking" would help.

I am ever grateful for all the suggesitons and hopefully this will help out others as well!!

have you tried sipping on some low carb protein shakes that you can turn in to a higher healthier carb smoothie with some frozen fruit chunks or berries, a little healthy oil and some whey protein powder with some water and ice cubes? some times cold foods settle queazy tummies. You could even hid some fiber in there if you need some constipation help

I do eat eggs now but I did struggle with them my first trimester along with meats. I discovered sugar free peanut butter was a good friend of mine! LOL I also tolerated tuna well, so I ate a lot of tuna salad. I couldn't handle salads either so I ate different veggies but had to sautee them with olive oil or butter.

Now I am much better. I still do not handle meats well, but I make sure I get my protien in with fish and chicken. I've become a huge fan of grilled chicken. I have also discovered and love stone ground wheat products. I found a wonderful stone ground wheat bread that is not labeled low carb, but after the fiber deduction has 8 carbs per slice! I like eating that with butter and peanut butter for breakfast. Snacks have become fruits. I eat lower glycemic fruits like berries and strawberries... YUMMY! I drink one cup of milk with each of my meals also. Lunch is salad with tuna or canned chicken and cottage cheese. Dinner is a protien with veggies. Dessert... sugar free pudding or jello and whip cream! YUMMIE! I've been able to keep my carb count around 80 a day and have been able to basically maintain my weight this pregnancy! YAY!

Hope this helps. I have had to get creative to get around food aversions and make sure I get my proteins in each day and watch my carb count without going overboard.

I can't seem to even stomach chicken and well the smell of fish...gesh..I am hopoing in a few more weeks this will pass as well?? I am so glad that I have stopped throwing up at this point everyday is a good day..lol
