    Re: Pregnant

Those are pretty names! I'm getting an u/s today, because my uterus measured really big for where I'm at, so I'm hoping to find out the sex. I'm not one of those people who can be strong and wait!

Oh I love the name Emily Ann. I had Abigial Ann picked out but we are having a boy, so that I hope the next one is a girl.

We chose the name Travis Alexander for our little man.

My maternity pants don't quiet fit yet, but my tops are keeping the high sitting baby warm. I had my first contraction at about 16 weeks and have stopped exercising for fear of early labor like my second one. Sitting around is driving me crazy!! I have a no lifting my (almost) 2y order (35ish lbs), a no sex order (omg I'm going to die!!), and will have my cervix re-measured next appointment (2 weeks) to see if any changes. I'm stressed about who's going to watch my kids if I end up in the hospital again, but I couldn't be any happier having another baby. My eating habits could be better, but they also could be worse. I'm trying to focus on whole grains, Lifetime Maint. phase, and portion control. I do admit however to giving into a few cravings (usually healthy but high carb foods such as a banana with some cheerios eeeeeek).

Gratz to all of you pregnant mommies! I hope you are having the time of your life with the growing little ones and enjoying every moment of it!
I wish you the best of luck. Sex... What is that? I have had no sex drive for the last month. That and this big belly is in the way. Poor husband.

Travis Alexander is such a beautiful name! I love the name Ethan too, but my DH has really boring taste in names. I'm just going to let go and let him name this one. My son's name, Xavier Matthias was more my doing, so I can let him have this one, right?

            Update 3/15/07

Starting Monday I think I have started with my pre-term labor. Of course my doctor refuses to believe me because nothing shows up on the monitor. I went to another doctor and he told me my contractions I was having was braxton hicks even though I was having them every 5-7 minutes from like 7am till I fell asleep at 2:30 am the next day (and then came back the next morning and we are now on Thursday and they are still going), and that my cramping and such are ligiments, and my backpain is weight or previouse injury related. Im what 140 lbs now, and to me this is back labor.. my symptoms are exactly the same with my second child high risk pregnancy and my body is even reacting the same way to the drugs that are given to me. I guess I just have to wait until I start to dilate for them to believe me. Ill keep you updated when I can.

              Sashie,

Wishing you and your baby the best of luck! I hope all has settled down by now. How far along and any more news?

update.... Saw your post in the other thread.
              I'll be 27 weeks Wed.
              Welcome to 27 weeks!
Is your husband home yet, or an eta?

Your so right about getting second (and third, if needed!) opinions. I had the same OB/GYN for my previous pregnancies. This time I went with a family practioner who was closer. When it came down to the wire I spooked and went back to my usual doctor. A phone call on a Tuesday, drove to the city that night, appt Wed morning, scheduled inducement on Thursday and all went wonderfully. Everyone was very happy I went with my last minute impulses. (except the younger doctor and his office staff, which tells me somthing about them also...) Things would have been much rockier if I hadn't. Kaden is very healthy and twelve weeks old tomorrow.

                  Re: Pregnant

Congratulations on your new addition! I am glad that you went with your gut feeling and everything came out okay. Sometimes you just have to do whats best for you and the baby.
All is fine with me at the moment. I had a nice long chat with my doctor on Wed and I think she somewhat understands where I am coming from now. I understand her position as well though not being able to diagnose or do anything about my situation until I have actual cervical change. Hubby is home and making sure everything is going smoothly. The kids are making sure he is plenty loved as a welcome back haha (defiantly some daddy boys here). Thanks for thinking of me! I'll update if anything new happens around here.

                    Re: Pregnant

Had a 4D ultrasound yesterday. Confirmed the sex of the baby (still a girl wooot), and got to see some of her features. My mother in law and hubby think the baby looks like my side of the family, I on the other hand am waiting for her to be born to determine that hehe. It was really neat to see her sucking on her fingers and reacting to daddy when he spoke to her.

We are still trying to determine baby names. I think we are going to go with Katelyn (spelling not decided) but are having troubles with a middle name. No one can agree LOL.

Hubby has been helping with the boys and they are loving every minute of it. I'm still taking it easy and putting on weight *cry* but I am determined to have a healthy non-preterm baby!

                        Re: Pregnant

update: Spent mothers day, and part of Monday in the hospital. I thought my water was leaking and I didn't want to risk infection. It turned out that no amniotic fluid was present, but the small contractions I was having had a pattern. I am dilated to 2cm, 50% effaced, and +1. I am 34 weeks (well today I am 35 actually but was 34 when I went in) and the base hospital here will not deliver the baby until it is 36. I am concerned about going in an ambulance an hour away and delivering so I am just trying to take it easy. They gave me trabutiline, 3 Iv's, some type of antibiotic, and released me on macrobid AGAIN /sigh. They *think* there might be some type of bacteria in my urine. Feels like I was just in there not two weeks ago with the same diagnosis. I am confused as to why they do not test urine at every doctors appointment. They always did with my other two boys, do they just not do that anymore or is it just this base? I think I have given two urine samples (minus my times to MIU they always want a sample).

My milk is already coming in which I guess is common but has never happened to me before the baby has been born, always after. Lots of pelvic pressure. Captain has assured me she does not think I will make it to 40 weeks, and the doctor although didn't sound TOO concerned while speaking to me is just hoping for 36. Although I guess she did have a serious chat with the hubby in the hall to make sure he understands the situation. Hubby is going insane poor guy. I'm just happy that we have made it this far, things could be far worse!

I have a doctors appointment today, lets see if anything changes. I doubt they will want to bother my cervix by checking me again. I am cramping a bit though and feeling the pressure along with those nice sharp cervical jabs. I am guessing it is just the baby dropping into position. A few strong contractions here and there but nothing to be concerned about imo.
