Thank you everyone! I had my first visit last week Friday, but it was stil really early, so they schedule a u/s for March 6th.......any and all prayers are welcome! They did go ahead and start me on prenatal vitamins and iron pills. I also went for blood work to check for croombs (spelling) disease and sickle cell. Now I just pray that all goes well from here on out! I've been doing my best to continue to eat healthy--I did add in fruits that are not so high in carbs (plums, tangerines, raspberries, strawberries, etc). Low carbs yogurts and ice creams help me with the calcium situation, since I've never been a milk drinker.
Hey Iyshia! How's everything going? Are you still having morning sickness at all, or has the second trimester been kinder to you? Hope all is well, and looking forward to an update!
Congratulations!! I hope all is well as far as morning sickness goes. I was ill for 3 months in the beginning of each of my pregnancies. This last time around I dropped 5 pounds before I started gaining.
Is this your first--I apologize if you already mentioned it and I skipped it somewhere. Having a newborn makes you ditzy--lol.
My morning sickness left when I reached the almost 4 month mark! Seems like it took forever, but I'm fine now. Back to lowcarbing and I've only gained 5lbs! I just basically eat the low-carb version of everything. I stick to strawberries and watermelon as far as fruits go. I also eat avacados, low-carb breads, and low carb tortillas. Everything else is pretty much the same. I go tomorrow to find out what I'm having--my doc doesnt do the u/s for the baby's sex until you are 21 wks. DBF and I have been going nuts! This is my first, and it will be a while before my next--LOL!
