So far, so good...but it's still a SECRET! That's been really tough. I hope the first tri goes really fast.

No morning sickness at all. Fighting a bad chest cold though, and won't take meds, and nobody know why (eye rolling smiley here).

I won't see an OB until Feb 16, they said 8-10 weeks and I wanted the outside, so hopefully we can hear the heartbeat by then. Twisti, are you high risk that they wanted to see you so early? I know you must have some special considerations w/the diabetes?

Maintenance has been fun. I am on vacation in FL, and I know I've overdone it on fruit. But I haven't on anything else. I cheated w/a bite of fruitcake, 3 breaded mozzarella sticks and french toast, over 3 days. I am going to try to stay completely away from white sugar and flour once back from vacation. But I think I'm ok w/everything else, and my estimated CCCM is pretty high.

Hope you are well, and everybody is.

    Hugs
    Denise

Msnicksmom Congrats! Twisti I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I had a miscarriage last Feb at 12 weeks and was devestated. I can't even imagine the pain you must have felt so far along. The thing that got me most about mine was I had nothing "substantial" to grieve. It was so hard to show emotion because I didn't want people to think I was nuts mourning something I never had (or so it seemed). It was so stunning when it happen too. Like with a half hour my world went from great to something entirely different.

So that being said when I went for my last OB appt this time the nurse said probably won't get a heartbeat this soon the baby is too far down. She tried anyway though after I explained my situation and the weight lifted as I heard that little rapid tick. I know it doesn't mean I'm in the clear but every day in this pregnancy past the end of my last makes me rest easier. I'm so excited, in fact I think what happened last year is making me just enjoy this pregnancy for a change. With my other 3 children I just couldn't wait to have a baby in my arms, now I want to appreciate every day. So next week is my next monthly appt and I'm excited to hear a louder heartbeat! DH will get to hear it this time too, last month he was out in the other room with my other children.

First hints of m/s and the super sleepies today. I hope it was because I am on vacation, not eating right, not sleeping right, and that once we get home and my routine is back to normal it will be OK. I was sick for 9 months with DS #1, and I do NOT want to do that again!

Does anybody know the current take on on nuts while pg? DS #1 is peanut allergic, and I did eat peanut butter while pg and nursing w/him, not a lot though. Do they suggest not at all w/history, or a little, or have they since found it doesn't matter? I have found several conflicting opinions, anyone have any thoughts?
