  • M/S is killing me!

OMG. Morning sickness is killing me. All day, all night, 24/7, never, EVER goes away. I am so very tired of being freakin' sick!!! Is there some relief somewhere? How can I go on! I feel like throwing myself to the floor and throwing a tantrum--"not fair, not fair, not fair!" Okay...there is my rant, thanks for looking. And yes....I've tried ginger already.

Girl, I had the same problem. Let my doc know and she prescribed me some phenergan (sp?). (stuffs gold I tell ya, gold) Anywho, they seriously worked wonders....so well, I didn't even finish taking them all! Ask about it.

      Re: M/S is killing me!

I had severe morning sickness from the second I found out I was pregnant (in 2005) till the moment I delivered, literally (puking in a trashcan at the time I was having him) Yea not fun.

I did phenergan it does work for some people (so you should ask about it if you are really sick)
but I think my body got used to it. It makes you extremely tired so a heads up if you try that.
They also went extreme with me and prescribed me zofran which is for Chemo patients that get really sick. It also helped a little but nothing helped enough. I lost over 30 lbs during my pregnancy just from not being able to hold anything down.
I wish I had tips and tricks, I think I tried everything. I had severe sinus infections the whole pregnancy too. I think my child was trying to kill me. I had to see a specialist that put me on MORE meds for that, it didn't work either. The amazing thing is the second I had my son all my issues went away. The sinus/the sickness etc. It was GONE! I was allergic to my child.

I can totally feel your pain. Morning Sickness (or all the time sickness) as it should be called is the worst.

        GET THEE TO YOUR DOCTOR!!!

You may be experiencing hyperemassis.. (spelling?) It is constant and profuse vomiting through out term. I had it and it was awful. If you get to the doctor in the first 10 days they can sometimes stop it. In my case the meds that would have lessened my suffering had just been taken off the market.. So i had to ride it out. But that was 23 years ago... I'm praying they have something new by now that can help you.

At the time they gave me Theorizne... I spent my pregnancy sedated and on and off in the hospital.. I'd go days without keeping anything down.. even water. They would put me in the hospital and hydrate me for a day or two and I'd feel better then I'd be puking again before I got out of the parking lot..

          Re: M/S is killing me!

Thank you all. God has been merciful and has allowed my m/s to finally ease away. Now I am only ill after eating or not eating at all for several hours. A major improvement over the past 4 months. Now, my only struggle is round ligament pain that is surprisingly painful but I can live with it. just have to be careful and rest. I am trying to decide whether I should quit my job now instead of in the next few months. I really dont want to work my whole pregnancy and may put in my notice soon. I still have to think and pray on it.
