  • Please think sticky baby thoughts my way

I KNOW I 'm overreacting about this. I KNOW I am. But, here goes. My only symptoms have been a touch of m/s and swollen boobs.

Well, today my boobs do NOT feel swollen, and in fact the scale went down 1.5 lbs from yesterday.

I am just scared that means that my I'm not pg anymore. Please send any sticky vibes my way. I'm just scared. And I know the baby's fine and hormones adjust and stuff, I'm just scared.

    Thanks
    Denise

        You are in my prayers.

Try not to worry........stress isn't good for the baby. When I became pregnant the same thing as you have described happened to me. The swollen breast will come and go.

Hang in there......all will be fine.

        Keep us posted.

I know it is hard not to worry..but try not to. If you need call the doc and talk about things with them. I am not sure how far along you are but some people never get sickness or have swollen boobs. I for one wasn't that lucky..lol..But they say all pregnancies are different. I know when I was pregnant it was about 6 weeks before I even knew. I was giong thru a cold and then the "flu" I thought when I realized butterflies in my tummy wasn't the flu. I have a site I frequent for "pregnancy/fertility" the ladies there are wonderful if you are interested you can PM me and I will send you the site!!

:hug to you and praying for you as well!!!

Some mild cramping and breasts back to floppy, not tender or swollen at all this a.m. But, kind of m/s-y and headachy all day. I am sure I am fine, I know I am. I am just oversentsitive I think because of our last loss, as many of you can relate. Hopefully once I get past that mark I can relax a bit.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, I know evvery bit helps.

I am just 6+ weeks. No, I didn't talk to Doc, I have an appt on Feb 16. If the cramping continues tomorrow, I'll call and ask for an u/s, I hope they would do that for me, but I don't know. I think I'm overreacting, and I think they would too. Hopefully cramps will cease, I never had any with DS, and with #2, not til I knew the baby was not alive, so I don't know, is this normal? Some sources say yes, some say call practitioner. I will hopefully get some good rest and things look better in the a.m.

It's a good sign that I got some nausea and hunger, right?

I am so glad I had Nicky first, I didn't worry a second with that pg. Now I can't stop!

Hang in there, Denise! I didn't know I was pregnant until I was 2 months along, this time around. At around 6-8 weeks, I had horrible cramps...like menstral cramps. I was at my gram's, in another state, at the time. I was sure I was going to start my TOM. I asked my dr. about this when I did find out I was pg. (at my first visit) and he said the cramps were completely normal. Ligaments and the uterus stretching, and all that.

The breast swelling will come and go, and as someone already said, it's common to lose a few pounds before you start to gain. I did with my first son, and he turned out A-ok. :yes

Just take a time out and relax. Try not to worry too much, because stress will affect the baby worse than anything. If you are really, really worried, and can't get in to see your ob/gyn, why not take a quick trip to the ER at your local hospital and see if they'll have a look at you. They may even run that u/s to make you feel better.

Wishing lots of sticky vibes your way!

Hi, I just wanted to add my two cents because I have been there. My first two pregnancys ended in miscarriage so I was a wreck with my third pregnancy. I had several weeks of period like cramps with my last (and successful) pregnancy. I read everything I could get my hands on through my whole pregnancy and especially at the beginning when I felt like my period would start anyday. I found more info then I can get into saying that being pregnant often feels ALOT like pms. I haven't read anything saying you are bleeding at all so that is also a big plus even though I even spotted with this last pregnancy which of course freaked me out but everything turned out fine. I ended up renting a heart beat doppler like the doctor uses ( I can find the site if you like), and let me tell you that is the best money I ever spent. I was very nervous because of the two I lost and this gave me every day comfort that my baby was still going strong. I understand from personal experiance why you are nervous and those feelings are normal. Just try to relax.

Cramps often go hand in hand with early pregnancy....stretching muscles and stuff....yes sometimes they hurt....they shouldnt hurt so bad that you cant stand straight....and yes its a very good sign that your not bleeding at all....I know your fears...also worrying (sp?) isnt going to help either, I dont know if its bad for you, but it does nothing good for you thats for sure...I can tell you to relax and enjoy but you wont do that either...once youve had a loss, that fear never leaves...just know that I am praying for you and your little one...and call your doc if your concerned, it doesnt matter if your six weeks or six months, thats your baby and your body...and thats what the doc is there for....if she/he wont order and ultrasound, and your still worried and cramping, go to the E.R. they will do one there...anything to give you peace of mind....

As far as renting a doppler when you are a little further along, thats what I will be doing....especially after losing Andrew at 34wks, It will give me peace of mind that i need, maybe yall can get one too....

                          Thinking about you!!!!!

Thank you all so much. No cramping today, some nausea and some hunger pangs. Talked to a midwife who told me she can tell I'm doing everything just right and, get this, that my "diet" is about perfect for a pregnant woman Yay! Anyone who thinks this statement is permission to do Atkins while pg, bear in mind that I am between 80-100 grams carbs, 75-100 grams protein and 60-70 grams fats. This is not induction, OWL or even premaintenance, this is Atkins Maintenance and I LOVE IT

Talking to the midwife really did releive some of my fears, she helped me to realize how normal it is to be scared, BUT, how normal this pg is compared to my other two. That helped a LOT.

But, if it's not one thing, it's another. DH's mom had a massive stroke last night. She is stable, but has a long road ahead of her to recover, and she likely will not work or live alone again. I am trying not to get stressed, and at the same time, trying to let my thoughts of her take my mind off worrying about the baby
