  • I need some help...

2 big I hope you get here to read this.

I am having horrible nausea and food aversions. I cannot eat salads. All I can keep down is bread, milk, cheese and eggs. I eat the low carb bread, but I still feel so guilty for not eating any vegetables. I force myself to eat some broccoli, but it just about killed me.

I know I only have three more weeks til I hit the 2nd trimester and hopefully this whole day morning sickness will end.

OH, and I also crave bananas. I wonder if it has to do with potassium.

I don't know what to tell you so just stoppin by to give you a hug. Its horrible to feel that way. What about some melon or berries.

:hug so have 1/4th a banana mashed up with some cream cheese and see how you feel. Pumpkin might stay down to mashed up with cream cheese.

I assume you have discussed this wiht your OBGYN and you have tried all the morning sickness cures that worked for you with your other pregs.

Hi Dawn, I couldn't do the low carb diet being pregnant. Although I try to maintain a reasonable carb count and stick with healthier carb options. Inititally I tried to stay away from nono foods etc. but found I was almost neurotic about what I was eating or weight gain. Eventually I went out and purchased a pregnancy nutrition book. I also had trouble keeping things down. The smell of splenda makes me gag, if I taste it I vomit (have from the 1st trimester). I am good with meat, veggies, etc. but some days the only thing that really lays well is a carb item. I needed crackers and bread to get me over the hump. As I said before I try to keep a hold of them though and I think I do a fairly good job. Also, I don't know if you saw in the Jul due date section I posted a good preggo site I found with tools similar to fitday, but for pregnant people www.babyfit.com. Take a look maybe it will help.

Thanks so much Lynne. i'm so emotional right now that your hugs made me tear up! I tried berries and they made me sick. Maybe some melon. I'll pick some up when I go grocery shopping tomorrow.

2big... It hit me really hard today. I've been able to force it down lately, but today has been the worse. The banana and cream cheese sounds good so I'll try that tomorrow. I'm thinking maybe about trying some V8 juice and flax for fiber?

Thanks so much for all your support ladies. I appreciate it so much.

          Dawn

Oh Dawn..I sure hope you find something that works for you. I have heard that taking B6 helps with naseua. At least that is what the OB said with our first baby..I couldn't keep anything down..the smell of ground meat cooking for my whole pregnancy sent me to the bathroom. I sure hope your morning sickness goes away..I am hoping for much better sickness once we get pregnant this baby around. Last one was all day for like 6 months..what 2 big suggested sounds good if you can keep it down~~ :hug :hug :hug

I am not sure why this is happening but when I click on the link you have listed here it doesn't take me to the same place as this link www.babyfit.com. I know it is crazy..but try it and see..

Now only the link in the July Due date section is working..that is soooo strange???
