Hello there
I decided to start Atkins because I really needed to loose some weight after having my 1st Baby. He is 16mts old now and I have been on extended induction for 4 Weeks now, (so that’s 6 weeks on induction in all).
I have been doing really well on induction, feeling full of energy and not hungry all. I have lost around 20lb (but more inches) and been feeling fantastic until last week.
I started to feel a bit faint and sleepy but I thought it was because I was due on.
My due date passed, so yesterday I decided to do a pregnancy test – it was Positive 2-3 weeks. J
I am so excited to be pregnant again but worried that I have been on induction while in the early staged of pregnancy.
I ate Weetabix for my breakfast today and feel really guilty, but I know that the Induction phase is not recommended during pregnancy, but the lifetime maintenance phase is.
I don’t how many carbs I should be eating to do lifetime maintenance but what I have decided to do is eat wholegrain, brown pasta, brown rice and bring fruit into my diet (which is still far better eating than when I was pregnant with my 1st Baby – I ate lots of take away foods with him and gained a lot of weight)
I am worried that I will gain weight again but I know that when I am ready to loose weight and look good again, I will be able to do it easily with the Atkins diet!!!!!!!!!
